“FIRE, STONE, CEMENT meet” is an installation by
Domenico De Palo that aims at giving visibility to significant elements and materials, making them be the protagonists together with design and trendsetter. At Fabbrica del Vapore, an emerging area of
Fuori Salone, this event offers, with its fitting out full of suggestions and intuitions, a vision rich of hints and suggestions for all those who work in the world of design and materials. Andrea Lupi, art director of antoniolupi and author of this plan, chose this location.
Antoniolupi has planned this event asking for the collaboration with the designer it has been sharing many plans for years with, Domenico de Palo who has involved other companies he collaborates with:
Antolini Luigi, IncontroArdito, HD Home Design and the technical sponsor Exenia, who enthusiastically embraced the whole plan.
The designer De Palo suggests an interpretation from an emotional perspective in order to emphasize the
passion of fire and the material of surfaces as primary elements of a system: huge wood paneling made of
stone blend with fire, the material takes the shape of a mirror illuminated by a LED, cement fits with tables
that lighten.
It is a course of comparisons to experience with new subjects and interpreters, materials, surfaces, elements
and volumes that meet like into an outdoor laboratory in order to show research itineraries and relations.
The ancestral character of fire, the memory of stone, the potentials of cement and the creativity of resins are
“re-read” by the designer’s sensibility in the light of the search of innovation, of quality and of contamination
that the international market is now requiring.
It is the evocation of a place which is not chaotic, ideal for an everyday life that is possible at last: this is the
setting that hosts the materials and products that are selected for their highly innovative and qualitatively
excellent content. This emotional and sensorial presentation enhances their peculiarities without estranging
the visitor ever, but wrapping him/her into a peculiar and magic atmosphere.
“The assemblage of different materials, such as STONE, FIRE
and CEMENT, creates signs that allow to conceive the space like
a “BOX” of emotions.
Fire heat, stone antiquity and cement contemporaneity combined
together like a perfect symposium allow to achieve the aim:
THE EMOTIONAL INVOLVEMENT.”
