It was established in 1966, thanks to the great intuition of the founder Paolo Marioni. The quick transformation took few years, from a craftsman shop into a consolidated industrial reality that acquires with its items bigger and bigger market shares in Italy and in Europe. Being strongly characterised by the sense of family, despite the current dimensions, Marioni s.r.l. keeps the sense of belonging resulting from its origins, with the consequent devotion and commitment; from Tuscany, its adopted region, it keeps the typical innate creativity. For more than 40 years Marioni has been specialised in top quality items to decorate interiors and outside spaces. It is one of the most important companies in Europe for the production of lamp bases, wall lamps, ceiling light fixtures, vases, flowerpot holders and accessories. It successfully works together with a growing number of decorators and architects to create items being particularly suitable to be used in the contract and has contributed to build hotels all over the world. The production management expressly rejects the serial character and prefers to meet even demands for items with special shapes and dimensions. Its production flexibility and its artistic capability are put at the disposal of demanding and refined customers. At the head office at Calenzano, not far from Florence, on a 5000 square meter surface decorators and modellers work with great skill and between modernity and tradition they create collections that, using materials such as white clay, baked clay, bone china, metal, glass and crystal and, through references to Italian historical and cultural periods, keep unchanged over the years the innate functional and esthetical value of the products by Marioni. The company has obtained the certification of the quality system in compliance with the international standard UNI ISO 9001-2000.
